At Nuts and Bolts Media, we believe there is no platform better than self-hosted WordPress. “Self-hosted” means that you are the owner of your content and are not subject to any terms of service other than those of your web host. You also have complete control over the look, feel, and functionality of your site without the limits of other platforms.
If your site is hosted on Blogger, WordPress.com, Tumblr, or other free platforms, your content is technically owned by the service provider. At any time, your posts, photos, comments, or even your entire site could be deleted if your provider believes you have violated one of its rules. (It happens more often than you think!)
Switching to a new platform can be overwhelming, but we do everything we can to take the guesswork out of the process. We offer a number of migration options to get you moved to self-hosted WordPress, no matter what hosting company you choose.
I had been on Blogger for a little over a year when I finally decided that it was time to be more professional and move to WordPress and to also be self-hosted. I had no clue what to do, and thankfully Andrea was there to save the day! She handled everything and the switch could not have gone any smoother.
