One thing I harp on constantly is the importance of publishing your full blog posts for readers who subscribe via email or RSS. If you don’t publish the whole post to your feed, people will only see the first sentence or two, and as a reader, that’s horribly frustrating. The whole point of subscribing is so readers don’t have to visit your visit manually every day - make it easy for them!
It’s also a good idea to subscribe to your own feed (I subscribe to my own via both RSS and email) so you can see how it looks to readers and correct any issues ASAP.
Here’s how to make sure you’re publishing full posts, whether you’re on Blogger or WordPress:
Publish Full Posts on Blogger
On Blogger, go to Settings > Other. You’ll see the options for Site Feed near the top of the page.
Click the dropdown box beside “Allow Blog Feed” and select “Full” - save your settings and that’s it!
Publish Full Posts on WordPress
To show full posts on WordPress, go to Settings > Discussion, then click the radio button for Full text. Be sure to save your settings!
