Our clients love the Genesis framework, but many of them aren’t coders and don’t want to spend time researching how to make simple changes to their websites. After many requests for an easy way to edit the default footer credits on Genesis child themes, we decided it was time to create a plugin.

The Genesis Custom Footer Plugin adds a simple metabox to your Genesis Theme Settings page. You can enter anything you want (including HTML) in this box and it will output to your Genesis footer. Note: If you have already pasted code into your functions.php file to alter the footer (or if your child theme has it already), those changes will override the plugin settings.
